Parachilna is a tiny settlement on the way to Leigh Creek in the middle of the South Australian outback. Beyond Parachilna is the really harsh Australian Outback and an area which some have travelled into and not returned. Fortunately, Parachilna is not quite so remote or extreme, and visitors will be able to safely enjoy the outback fringes of South Australia. The backdrop to this settlement on the plains, is the blue, rugged peaks of the Flinders ranges and from Parachilna you can charter a light plane to view these spectacular peaks at sunrise, sunset, or midday.
